I Chronicles 4:9-10

Verse 10 – I want you to bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain. And God granted his request.

Three Principles To Put To Work

I. First you need a great ambition.
V. 10 – I want God to bless me and enlarge my territory.

Three Misconceptions:

1. We confuse humility with fear.

2. We confuse contentment with laziness.
Phil. 4:11 – I have learned to be content whatever the
circumstances.

3. We confuse small thinking with Spirituality.

II. Secondly, we need a growing faith.

Three facts to consider

1. Your Faith.

2. Your handicap.
Verse 9 – Because I gave birth to him in pain.

Question: What’s your handicap?
Mark 9:23 – Everything is possible for him who believes.

III. Thirdly genuine prayer.

Three Things To Ask In Prayer

1. Ask for a big request.
Verse 9 – I want you to bless me.

James 4:2 – You do not have, because you do not ask.

Jer. 33:3 – Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great unsearchable things you do not know.

Eph. 3:20 – God is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us.

2. God’s presence.
Verse 10 – Let your hand be with me.

3. God’s protection.
Verse 10 – Keep me from harm.

We will experience renewal through Baptism

1. It follows the example set by Christ.
Mark 1:9

2. It is commanded by Christ.
Matt. 28:19-20

3. It illustrates my new life in Christ.
II Cor. 5:17
