A NEW START FOR LIFE AND RELATIONSHIPS
Luke 24:6 – He is not here, He has risen.
A New Start Effects 4 things
1. A new start puts the past to rest.
John 8:36 – So if the Son sets your free, you shall be free indeed.
I Peter 1:3 – In His great mercy He has given us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
John 3:36 – Whoever accepts and trust God’s Son, gets in on everything, life complete and forever. But the person who avoids and distrusts God’s Son is in the dark and doesn’t see life.
2. A new start gives us power for the present.
Matthew 11:28 – Come to me all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest.
Eph. 1:20 – How incredibly great is His power to help Those who believe in Him, the same that raised Christ From the dead.
Matthew 28:10 – Do not be afraid.
3. A new start gives us purpose for living.
Luke 24 When they came back from the tomb, they told all these things to the eleven and to all the others.
Matthew 7:24-27 – Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock, the rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against the house, and yet it did not fall because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who builds his house on the sand, the rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.
4. A new start leaves us with a promise for the future.
Luke 24:6 – He is not here, He has risen
John 11:26 – Who so ever liveth and believeth in Me shall never die.
Psalm 34:8 – Open your eyes and see how good God is. Blessed are you who run to Him.
Lamentations 5:21 – Bring us back to you, God, we’re ready to come back.
A Prayer To Get Started
Dear Lord, Jesus Christ was who He claimed to be, your Son, and that He proved it by rising from death. Jesus, I thank you for dying on the cross to give me a new start in life. I ask you to forgive my sins, come into my life and give me a new start in every area of my life. Amen
